Cleaning Uses for Lemons You Haven’t Thought Of

1. Refrigerator refresher
We all know that you have to leave soda in the fridge to avoid unpleasant smells, but did you know that you can do the same with a lemon? There are a few ways to achieve this. You can soak a cotton swab in lemon juice and leave it in the fridge, leave a bowl of freshly squeezed lemon juice in the fridge, or you can cut a lemon in half and leave it in a bowl. Replace your chosen lemon refresher every week.

2. Microwave
You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to tackle even the most stubborn stains in your microwave with nothing less than lemon and a bowl of water. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze each half into a bowl half filled with water. Then put the rest of the lemon in the bowl and place it in the microwave. Then set the timer to 3-5 minutes and boil the brew to the highest setting. Allow the microwave to cool down for about 5 minutes after the beeping. Then remove the bowl and wipe the inside of the microwave with a microfibre cloth. The lemon will eliminate unpleasant odours and the steam will mix with the lemon oil and loosen all the accumulations on the inside of the microwave.
