A mild detergent is a surprisingly good way to clean the floor. You only need 1 to 2 tablespoons of detergent that you mix with a bucket of water. Your floor will be clean again in no time. Detergent is particularly effective on soft floors such as linoleum and vinyl, and also works well on ceramic tiles. But do not use soap and water for wooden floors. The floor may become stained or warped by moisture. Do you have any laminate? Then follow the manufacturer’s cleaning recommendations. Most laminate floors come with a warning about the effects of too much moisture.
